A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT...

I'M NO LONGER USING BLOGGER/BLOGSPOT AS MY MAIN WEBSITE FOR MY ARTWORK. I find that Tumblr is a much more user-friendly and interactive host for posting my artwork (And more fun), so I'm switching to that now.

You can follow me on this URL: http://miguel-choi.tumblr.com/

Enjoy! :)

THE DESCENDANT

This is an illustration of Lugh (Left) and Nino (Right) from the battle strategy game series Fire Emblem (The 6th and 7th games, respectively). Lugh is Nino's future son (Along with his twin brother Raigh), but not only that, it almost seems as though he inherited her personality as well; Both are kind, optimistic, and cheerful despite their struggles and troubled backgrounds, and this image portrays this similarity. Both are two of my favorite characters in the whole Fire Emblem franchise (Alongside Raigh, of course), so this is a tribute to them as well.

Vectors made with Adobe Illustrator, colored with Rebelle, and vector clean-up/extra detailing done with Autodesk Sketchbook.

The mechanical and somewhat futuristic motif of this illustration was influenced by the song "Transient Belief" by progressive metal band Circle Of Contempt.

INSIDIOUS

I came up with this image after listening to lots and lots of slow, depressive death metal (Evoken, Shape Of Despair, etc.). And in case you're wondering, no, this is not based on the horror movie from 2010 with the same title (I haven't even watched it, either). Adobe Illustrator was used to create the vectors, and Rebelle was used for the coloring.

“A soundless realm… An unforgiving place where time seems endless.” – ‘Into Aphotic Devastation’ by Evoken.
